Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team.

The Role
You will primarily be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing domestic gas boilers and heating systems throughout Brighton & Hove and the surrounding areas.
The role will also involve occasional boiler installation work and light plumbing work when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing domestic gas boilers and heating systems
- Diagnosing and repairing boiler and heating system faults
- Carrying out landlord gas safety inspections and certification
- Advising customers on repairs, upgrades and system performance
- Completing digital job reports and documentation
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and workmanship
- Carrying out occasional boiler installations and installation support when required
- Carrying out occasional light plumbing work associated with heating repairs and installations
- Representing Brighton Boiler Man professionally at all times
Essential Requirements
- Current ACS qualifications including:
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Experience
- 5+ years experience preferred in domestic gas servicing and breakdowns
- Boiler installation experience
- Experience working with a variety of boiler manufacturers and heating controls
- Competent carrying out light plumbing work
- Experience using digital job management systems

Business Support Administrator – Brighton Boiler Man Ltd.
Location: Brighton & Hove (Remote role. Preference will be given to candidates based in or near Brighton & Hove due to the operational nature of the role)
Hours: Preferred hours 15 – 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday (some flexibility available; to be discussed)
Pay: £13–£14 per hour (depending on experience)

Brighton Boiler Man Ltd. is a well-established heating and plumbing business with a strong local reputation. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Support Administrator to help support our day-to-day operations and keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
The Role
This is a varied role within the heart of the business. You will play a key part in ensuring operations run efficiently, customers are well looked after, and communication across the team is clear and organised.
This role requires someone confident working across multiple areas of the business and comfortable managing a busy and varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling customer calls and enquiries
- Managing, scheduling, and rearranging appointments and jobs
- Following up on outstanding quotes
- Signing off completed jobs after payment
- Sending monthly holidays/days off to accountants
- Managing messages across multiple platforms
- Supporting light social media content creation and posting
- Researching and sourcing cost-effective parts online
- Supporting planning and scheduling of jobs (local knowledge beneficial)
- Following and improving internal processes
- Creating and updating operating procedures
- Light bookkeeping experience a plus
What We Are Looking For
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focussed
- Minimum 2 years' admin experience, preferably within a small, customer-focussed business
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills
- Comfortable using software/CRM systems (training can be provided)
- Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Able to multitask and manage a busy workload
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on improving processes
